Selected Work

Listed below are some of my recent projects. I embrace the challenge of delivering an online brand to a client that is clean, clear and user-friendly.

De La Salle College Churchtown

De La Salle College wanted a site that allowed them to keep their content fresh and engaging. With a wealth of activity happening at the school they needed an easy way to showcase their stories.

The school, having been around for nearly 60 years, has an extensive photo archive. There were many requests coming from past pupils to see old year books and photo's. They wanted a solution that was customised for their needs and easy to use going forward.

I developed a custom solution using Umbraco CMS which allows the school to manage their news stories, photo galleries, calendar events and much more.

They are now able to take enrolment applications online and manage them in a customised backend from receipt of application, to the review process, to the final acceptance. Having this information in an easily-accessible, searchable and accurate store enables the College to move away from a traditional paper-based system thereby providing instant savings and reduction in administration duties for College staff.

An integrated messaging system was also developed for queries received through the site. This allows school admin staff to have a better view of contacts received through the site and ensure that all questions are answered to satisfaction.

Bramble Cottage Crafts

Bramble Cottage Crafts are a boutique, made-to-order crafts house located in County Wexford. They source, design and create wooden presentation pieces of the highest quality from local wood.

They needed a website to showcase their product catalog that would allow them to scale up to a fully-fledged online storefront.

The solution I chose to implment the store is Nopcommerce. It allowed Bramble Cottage Crafts great flexibility in managing their catalog and in deciding how they would like to process and administer their electronic payments.

I also designed a custom theme for their store that compliments the wooden craft designs that they produce.

South Dublin Vets

South Dublin Vets wanted a bright, fun and welcoming website that parallels the image they have in their clinics. Giving detailed information about their services and offerings, they also have a pet library available on the site which is an invaluable resource for their visitors and hopefully fun to use as well!

I also set up a Facebook presence for South Dublin Vets that they are using to engage with their customers and post regular updates on activity in their clinics.

Abacus Maintenance Services

Abacus Maintenance Services wanted to give the high quality and professional service associated with their brand an online presence.

A straight-forward site presenting their core services, giving them further reach to an online audience. The site is powered by Umbraco giving them intricate control over the content and navigation within the site.

Kielys of Donnybrook

Kielys of Donnybrook is a well renound pub in the rugby heartland of Dublin 4. They wanted a re-design that would communicate the Kielys brand of family, fun, tradition and sport to a wider online audience.

By implementing a Content Management System in Umbraco that enabled the Kielys team to manage regular changing content (e.g. events, new menu items etc.) it gave them the control they wanted over their content and breathed new life into their site. Between the site and their Facebook page they are able to keep in touch with a growing leigon of regulars!

Management and Retail Services

Management and Retail Services is a one-stop-shop solving all your business and people problems. Linda Ward, the principal of the company, wanted her online brand to be presented in a clean, clear and professional package.

With Umbraco CMS giving Linda full control over the site content she has the ability to edit any page as well as adding new pages and menu items with ease.

Alive and Kicking

Alive and Kicking is a Life and Business Coaching company with courses run by Ita Breagy. She wanted a site that is simple, communicated her "Life and Business Coaching for Better Living" message and allowed people to book courses online.

I implemented a Content Management System in Umbraco enabling her to easily update event information. She also required a Newsletter/Subscription service so that visitors can sign up to her Coaching Newsletter and receive Life and Business Coaching articles written by Ita.

Irish Charity Shops Association

The ICSA were finding their content management system out-dated and difficult to use. They decided to migrate their website to Umbraco. I transitioned their website, making design revisions in the process and developed new features to make their site easier to use and more search engine friendly. A search feature was added to make it simple for visitors to find the charity shop they are looking for either by type or location.

ICSA members have a private area that they can log in to receive member-only news and updates and content editors can easily add news articles and menu items in the Umbraco CMS backend.
